Introduction

Animals are an essential part of our daily lives since they provide food, clothing and companionship. It is therefore important to study and understand their biological function in order to care for them for their benefit and yours. Animal sciences is the study of domestic animals, including their nutrition, genetics, breeding, welfare, physiology, and use in animal production systems.
